Colors of the Comets & Planets series are produced by adding precious metals and gems while shaping the hot Borosilicate (hard) glass. The comets are made from chunks of fuming gold and silver, the planets are round opal gemstones, and the stars are pieces of gold, silver, and crushed opal. These mystifying spheres of beauty and fascination are heirlooms to be enjoyed for generations to come.
